Shvydchenko T. The First Winter campaign of the UNR Аrmy in the context of the national liberation revolution of 1917 - 1921

The thesis is dedicated to the first winter campaign of 1919 - 1920. On the basis of a wide range of historical sources and literature the manuscript analyses the characteristics of preparation and implementation of UNR Army's marsh in the rear of the Volunteer and the Red Armies in the context of the national liberation struggle of 1917 - 1921. This work also establishes the stages and the nature of combat activities of the UNR Army during the first winter campaign, highlights the characteristics of propaganda and education activities conducted by the UNR Army during the raid, studies manifestations of the "ataman rule" (otamanshchyna) in the first winter campaign and the impact of this phenomenon on its course, and, finally, summarizes and analyzes the circumstances for the success of the first winter campaign and its implications in the national liberation struggle of 1917 - 1921.
