Essay

The purpose of the thesis is to highlight the process of informatization of school education in the Republic of Poland in terms of European integration. Scientific Polish studies and conceptual terminological field of informatization of school education in Poland are investigated. It is revealed that ICT in education entails the transformation of the learning environment, changes teaching methodology and the roles of teachers and students in the classroom. The basis of modern didactic concept in Poland is self-learning and self-development, creativity, collaboration in creating knowledge for its practical application. Main trends of informatization of school education in Poland were defined and justified: education policy in Poland is based on European standards and requirements; European structural funds and private funds invest in programmes of informatization of school education in the country and regional levels; civil society organizations and non-profit institutions support the improvement of teachers and students’ ICT competence; ICT is widely introduced in Polish schools. The recommendations of practical implementation of positive Polish experience of education innovations into Ukrainian education system are brought forward.
