Essay

The research is dedicated to the integrated study of social, political and cultural life of the region during the "thaw". The thesis describes important and actual issues including liberalization and destalinization of political life, the weakening of repressive pressure in the context of rehabilitation of political prisoners. The changes of the industrial, agricultural and livestock sectors are considered. The research indicates the alternations that have taken place in the daily life of the residents of the South of the USSR under the influence of social restructuring. Church and religious life in the region is analized.
