Subject - education measure of historical memory; purpose - explication of educational and educative potential of historical memory in political education practice based on authorial methodology of multi-vector interdisciplinary analysis, where the philosophy of education is a multipurpose synthesizer; methods - phenomenological, hermeneutic, method of abstraction, induction and deduction; analysis and synthesis; historical and chronological, historical comparative, retrospective; novelty - development of concept of historical memory as an activation mechanism of political education process which is able to interact innovatively with ideological and ethical education through cultural techniques of the transtemporal senses reactualization of mankind and national history; results - it was proved that historical memory turns its sociocultural representations into open communicative spaces through its implication into educational and educative practices; it was found educational ambivalence of historical memory which conditioned by contingency of its senses selection, hoax and mythology of which can accelerate the processes of creation of personality as well as decelerate them through narrowing of future horizons; materials, synthesis and results of research could be used in further combined scientific works on memory theory and also in formation of strategies of political and patriotic education; field - philosophy of education.
