Essay

The object of the study: Newcastle disease and Pasteurellosis of poultry. The subject of the research: Epizootological monitoring of Newcastle disease, avian infectious bronchitis, infectious bursal disease, viral arthritis/ tenosynovitis, chicken infectious anemia, and pasteurellosis as possible members of associated infections in the central region of Ukraine. The thesis presents the results of epizootological monitoring of Newcastle disease, avian infectious bronchitis, infectious bursal disease, viral arthritis/ tenosynovitis, chicken infectious anemia, and pasteurellosis as possible members of associated infections in the central region of Ukraine. The epizootic risk factors were estimated; specific preventive measures for these infectious diseases in poultry farms were considered. Seven risk populations of synanthropic and wild birds were confirmed as a biological reservoir of the Newcastle disease virus. Three current epizootic Newcastle disease virus strains were isolated from pigeons, their characteristics. The technical documentation for the associated inactivated vaccine against Newcastle disease and Pasteurellosis was developed and commission tests were conducted.
