Essay

Object: socio-economic life of Lviv in 1920-1930's. The goal: comprehensive analysis of the economic and socio-political activities of merchants in interwar Lviv. Methods: comparative analysis, generalization and synthesis of actual data, problem-chronological approach and others. Results: for the first time merchants and merchants of the city are comprehensively investigated, part of Jewish, Polish and Ukrainian merchants in the economic, social and political spheres of Lviv in 1920-1930's is found, the impact of the merchants in the trade sector of the economy of Lviv is highlighted, the ethnic and religious structure, political orientation of merchants are analyzed, activities of merchant organizations in training personnel merchants, protection of the economic interests of merchants and other areas of their activity are covered, improved method of research of economic, social and political activities of Lviv merchants in the 20-30's of XX century, approaches to research of directions of urban history. Scope of application: in research and educational areas (in the preparation of works on the history of Ukraine and Poland, and the development of training courses in higher education establishments).
