Shelep Y. Party nomenclature in the Soviet Ukraine in 1970's – beginning 1980's

Object: party nomenclature of the UkrSSR in 1970's – the first half of 1980's as a separate management and socio-professional group, with specific for its characteristics and specific attitudes with whole society. Objective: to analyze the most complete range the party nomenclature of Soviet Ukraine in 1970's – early 1980's, find its typical characteristics as administrative and socio-professional group, to establish internal rules and match them with the image of the "political elite" of Soviet society, to analyze Communist ideology clashes with everyday practices. Methods: theory of elites, historical and comparative analysis, prosopographic analysis, verbal-historical study, content-analysis. Results: for the first time formed a complete image of the party nomenclature of Soviet Ukraine in1970's – early 1980's, that studied as a separate socio-professional and management group, at the center of research finding put a combination of professional and public spheres with everyday and private practices, traced the formation of images of Soviet officials in journalistic and literary texts, memoir literature and visual sources and their retransmission in the historical memory of future generations, in the scientific circulation introduced new archival materials, in particular, made it possible to show the informal practices among the party nomenclature based on complaints of abuse office, held prosopographical analysis of selected groups of party workers, for understanding the motives of actions and the inner world of members of the party and Soviet nomenclature involved materials of oral history. Scope of application: for further study the role of party nomenclature in the political, socio-economic and cultural processes, for research related to the party-state nomenclature, synthesis papers on political and social history of Ukraine, the development of courses in the area of the soviet logy, in political science and sociological studies.
