The thesis analyzes the problems of historiography study of higher female medical education in the late XIX - early XX century. The role of Nikolai Sklifosovsky in progressive medical community fight for the right of women to higher education. Based on archival sources the activities of "special courses for female scientists midwives" in Europe as the first higher education institution for the education of women. Determined the dynamics of the ideas of female higher medical education in pre-revolutionary period and are areas of mainstreaming women's ideas of higher medical education in Ukrainian lands late nineteenth early twentieth century. Biographical sketch describes the life and professional activity of Nikolai Sklifosovsky, defined chronological periods of professional activity. Nicholas Sklifosovsky grounded contribution to the world of clinical and military surgery and the peculiarities of his pedagogical ideas and factors of female medical education in the scientific and educational heritage. Modern situation of female higher medical education in Ukraine and reasonable ways and directions of the ideas of gender in medical education pedagogy MV Sklifosovsky in the modern system of training female doctors. Based on experimental studies found gender differences in understanding the role of the physician in society, its dominant professional and personal qualities. Directions pedagogical transformation of M. Sklifosovsky in modern professional education of health professionals.
