Research object - speech sphere of personality.Subject of research - psychological characteristics of communicative function of speech primary school children in health and with mental retardation.Research methods. Process reliability justification statements and conclusions, solving problems led to the use of complex interrelated research methods: Theoretical: system-structural method; theoretical and methodological analysis of psychological and linguistic literature on the investigated problem; compare and summarize theoretical data, ordering material; modeling - development and content model of communicative functions of speech of children of primary school age in health and with mental retardation; Empirical: monitoring the educational process; interviews with teachers, children and parents; method psychodiagnostic examination; Experiment (konstatuvalnyy, molding) Statistical, mathematical, statistical analysis - to establish the reliability performance differences between communicative function of speech to and after the correction-developing applications using Student t-test; to identify the relationship between the characteristics of the communicative function of speech and sensorimotor performance of children of correlation analysis using Pearson's r-factor; comparative analysis.Scientific novelty of the research is that:for the first time: The place and role of communicative function in the overall language development of children of primary school age; Isolated and empirically verified basic components of communicative function of speech (indicative and predictive) and their levels of primary school children in health and with mental retardation; The features of connection components of communicative functions of speech and sensorimotor areas of personality (motor and visual-auditory-motor coordination); Established dynamics of communication and sensory-motor areas of the individual; Formed the main components of communicative function of speech of children of primary school age in health and with mental retardation in conjunction with the main components of sensorimotor development; Improved idea about the role of sensory-motor areas in the communicative function of speech; The concept of "verbal personal development", "communicative functions of speech"; received the further development: Research diagnostic system features communicative function of speech of children of primary school age in health and with mental retardation.The practical significance of the study is to develop experimental methods of forming communicative function of speech and sensorimotor areas of children 6-8 years of health and mental retardation. Conceptually and empirically grounded methods and techniques of communicative speech function, the system of classes forming sensorimotor areas for children 6-8 years of health and mental retardation. Results of the study can be used in the psychological, medical and pedagogical consultations, school psychologists, specialists from special education teachers in developing programs for the development of speech and sensorimotor areas to work in secondary and special education; can also be included in the content teachers teach courses on "General Psychology", "Psychology of speech," "Neuropsychology", "Special psychology" courses in higher education, with training courses psychological-pedagogical staff, and more.
