Fedunushun L. Cultural-Educational and Local Heritage Work of Ivan Krevetskyi (1883-1940).

The thesis is devoted to investigation of life and diverse activity of I. Krevetskyi - a famous cultural-educational figure, historian, regional ethnographer of the end of XIX - first half of XX century. Based on the analysis of historiography of the problem, study of archive sources, epistolary heritage, memoirs, historic works, periodic articles, it has become possible to reconstruct the biography of scientist and disclose his contribution into development of history.We have followed the main factors of formation of ideological convictions and the process of formation of I. Krevetskyi as a history analyst, archeography specialist, source-study expert, bibliographer, public and culture figure.There was elucidated the role of family environment, national-patriotic education at the Ukrainian Academic Upper School in Lviv and study at the Department of Philosophy (historic group) of Lviv University. We have analyzed the connections of the historian with Ukrainian student and military organizations, scientific and cultural-educational associations, editorial boards of newspapers and magazines, Hrushevskyi Lviv Historic School. There was disclosed the range of topics of I. Krevetskyi's historic research and his activity in sections and commissions of Shevchenko Scientific Society.
