Essay

Object - the teaching and educational process at general comprehensive schools of Ukraine (the end of XX - the beginning of XXI centuries); the aim - to systematize theoretical ideas and generalize the experience of forming interest to economic knowledge in pupils of general comprehensive schools of Ukraine (the end of XX - the beginning of XXI centuries) in order to raise the level of training pupils at present-day schools; methods - historical, general scientific, comparative, statistical; novelty - the research is the first to provide the study of the genesis of the given problem within the defined time period, the contribution of domestic and foreign educators to the researched problem is determined, the essence of interest to economic knowledge is analysed, its types are determined and characterized; the stages of forming interest to economic knowledge in pupils of general comprehensive schools of Ukraine are substantiated; the tendencies in the development of economic knowledge are defined; the practical experience of forming interest to economic knowledge in pupils of general comprehensive schools of Ukraine is generalized; the forms and methods of forming general scientific, professional and "local" interest to economic knowledge in pupils are specified, the role of inter-school training and production centres, work- shops for carrier guidance and labour training and employment centre activities directed at raising pupils' economic knowledge interest is analysed; results - the research provides an analysis of the pedagogical ideas of the past and focuses on their typological relevance to the existing problems connected with transfer and acquisition of economic knowledge. The theoretical ideas and conclusions of the research, factual historical-pedagogical data will be useful in compiling lectures, designing seminars and organizing individual work on the courses "Pedagogy", "History of Pedagogy", "Comparative Pedagogy". The materials of the research will be useful for working out special courses and seminars, for compiling textbooks and teaching manuals for students of higher pedagogical establishments ; field - pedagogy.
