In the thesis are considered the problem of the development of appropriate methods for obtaining sunflower forms with high level of osmotolerance via Agrobacterium - mediated transformation using LBA4404 strain harboring binary vector pBi2E with dsRNA - suppressor of proline dehydrogenase gene. The original procedure of Agrobacterium - mediated transformation in vitro was worked out. The morphogenic ability activation factors were detected. The factors that promote the high frequency of DNA recombinant molecules integration were investigated too. First there was created the method of H. annuus Agrobacterium - mediated transformation in planta. The progeny (T1-T3) from transgenic lines were obtained.
