Essay

The object of the research – political humor of Soviet Ukraine. The dissertation purpose: characterization of political humor functioning in the socio-cultural environment of Soviet Ukraine by the example of the magazine "Perets". The methods: semiotics methods, quantitative methods, historical-genetic, historical-comparative, historical-typological. Scientific novelty: in the dissertation the functioning of the magazine "Perets" in the socio-cultural environment is characterized as an example of the political humor of Soviet Ukraine; the history of the establishment of "Perets" is examined, its purpose of activities is explored; the specifics of political and ideological control over this satirical magazine is analyzed; the limits of personal creativity of comic writers and the influence personal views on the content of the magazine are determined; in the thesis the role and value of visual and narrative information in "Perets" are analyzed; the most important images and themes of the magazine are considered; the specifics of distribution and perception of texts and caricatures "Perets" by Soviet citizens are examined; the attempt to compare official and unofficial humorous discourses on the example of the magazine "Perets" and Soviet political anecdotes is made. Practical value of research: the materials of research can be used in the creation of generalizing works on the history of Soviet Ukraine and the USSR, on the history of Soviet press, journalism, satire and humor culture, in the preparation of manuals, development of materials on the history of Soviet society for higher education. Sphere of use: higher educational institutions.
