The thesis is devoted to study the prevention of destructive mental states of the employees of the socio-psychological service of the penal institutions. We have revealed correlation between destructive mental states and personal qualities and characteristics of the employees of the socio-psychological service of the penal institutions. The program of psychological prevention of destructive mental states of the employees the socio-psychological service of the penal institutions was proposed. A training was developed and tested. The training was aimed at preventing destructive mental states of the employees of the socio-psychological service of the penal institutions.
