Barylo I. Geodemographic development of Poltava region

The thesis highlights theoretical and methodological foundations of social and geographical research of geodemographic development. In terms of human geography concept of "geodemographic development" are improved. Geodemographic development are analysed as an object of human geography, formation factors of geodemographic development are characterized. Methodological approaches and methods of geodemographic development research of the region are presented. It is revealed historical prerequisites and factors of resettlement of the Poltava region's population. Resettlement of the population is result of historical process of settling of the territory which happens under the influence of a number of factors. The modern system of resettlement of Poltava region is typical for the central Ukrainian regions and the country in general. Tendencies of geodemographic development of Poltava region in nation-wide measurement are analysed. The current state of regional geodemographic development, in particular features of reproduction of the population and structure of the population of the area for 2009-2014 is characterized. On the basis of the cluster analysis similarity of geodemographic development of the Poltava area's cities and regions is presented. Group's regional social and geographical system is more various in comparison with city. They form more or less steady associations, others more often poorly are associated with the others of areas. It is carried out groups city and regional social and geographical system by a graphic-analytical method of multidimensional classification. By results of the analysis of indicators dynamics of system development (the area of a polygon and information entropy behind a graphic-analytical method) it is executed classification of social and geographical system. According to possible options of a dynamics combination of these indicators four groups social and geographical system, in particular on dynamics of the area of a polygon and on dynamics information are allocated. Geodemographic development trajectory modeling of the city and district social and geographical system in rated multidimensional space is carried out, territorial features are revealed. The directions and ways of regional geodemographic policy of Poltava region are the recommendations created on the basis of the analysis of geodemographic development's features of the region and its forecast till 2020. They are characteristic of all cities and districts of the region.
