The dissertation is devoted to the establishment of the characteristics of the morphofunctional organization of the submandibular salivary gland (SSG) in experimental diabetes mellitus. Multicenter study of acinar cells, intralobular duct and hemocapillaries of the SSG has been carried out for the first time in experiments on 81 rats. On the background of hyperglycemia and diabetic microangiopathy dystrophic changes in glandulocytes on the 14th - 56th days with subsequent formation of histological accommodation of endpieces on the 70th day of the experiment; in the intercalated ducts - since the 42nd day, in the granular ducts - since the 14th day, in the striated ducts - since the 28th day.
