Avdieieva O. The interconfessional relations in the Northern Azov (the end of the 18th - the beginning of the 20th cnt.)

The object of research: religious confessions and denominations in the Russian Empire in the late 18th - early 19th century. The aim of research: reconstruct, identify characteristics and show the development of interconfessional relations in the Northern Azov in the late 18th - early 19th century in the context of the religious policy of the Russian Empire. The subject of research: concrete historical progress of interconfessional relations development in the Northern Azov in the study period. The methods of research: analytical, synthetic, historic-genetic, historic-comparative, problem-chronological. The results of research and novelty: the dissertation is the first complex study of history of the interconfessional relations in Northern Azov late 18th - early 19th century considering multi ethnic and multi confessional diversity in the sub region, accomplished on the base of numerous primary sources. The general trends of religious policy of the Russian Empire and their influence on formation of religious map of the Northern Azov are analyzed. The features of ethno-confessional structure of the population in the sub region is taken into consideration. Particular attention is paid to studying the interreligious interaction between members of the different confessions on family, household and mental levels. The sphere of usage: the further research of the current subject, writing of the synthesis works, manuals, reading of the high school courses on the history of Ukraine.
