Volianiuk S. Creation and activity of the UPA’s military okruha “Lysonia”

In this thesis, based on the analyses of archival documents, published sources and scientific literature, for the first time it is made the comprehensive study of the history of formation and fighting of the rebel army divisions on the territory of military unit UPA – VO 3 “Lysonia”. It is covered the military activity of the UPA’s military okruha “Lysonia” against the German and Soviet occupation regimes and the Polish underground. It is reproduced the structure of the district and subordinate units, it is disclosed military, organizational, territorial division, it is defined the command of groups of the UNS, divisions of the UPA and the staff of the VO. In the thesis it is described the features of functional training and command structure for the UPA, the functioning of the armed forces and it is disclosed the disbandment process of military district.
