Essay

This research focuses on the social phenomenon in Bukovina, which manifested itself in a secular lifestyle of the elite time-space in 1848 - 1914. Сharacteryzed sociocultural changes that led to the emergence of new social practices among the upper and middle classes Bukovina in the second half of XIX - early XX century. Considered imitation and imitation European aristocratic and bourgeois habits of life that shaped modern lifestyles and forms of communication. It was found that high life in Bukovina was an important factor in the making of the modern identity of the local elite and its attempt to overcome the feeling of "peripheral" against "imperial" elite.
