The transformative changes of Polish printed media market were traced in high-quality Polish publications as well as the transition to democratic society political culture (functioning of competitive, qualitative regional and local printed media). Experimental evaluation method was applied (questionnaire), the typology was outlined (modern journalism positionally-typological models), Polish printed media classification before and after transformation period, printed media local market of all levels was investigated (of local and sub-local magazines).
