Essay

The object of research is loneliness as the psychological phenomenon.The subject of research - psychological peculiarities of the experience of loneliness as the self-actualization factor.Research methods. To ensure objectivity and systematic of the research and to solve the problems a number of methods has been used in the research work, including: theoretical and methodological analysis, systematization and generalization of psychological research problem's data, psychodiagnostic techniques and mathematical statistics methods of data processing.Psychodiagnostic complex includes the following methods: methodologies - "Diagnosis of the subjective level of the feeling of loneliness" (D. Russell, M. Ferguson) to determine the overall level of the experience of loneliness, "Semantic differential" (E. Zavorotnykh) to identify attitudes of the researchers towards the experience of loneliness, "Diagnosis self-actualization" (A. Lazukin, N. Kalina) to determine the desire of the researchers to self-actualization; surveys - "Identification of the type of loneliness" (S. Korchagina) to establish a dominant kind of loneliness, questionnaire "Loneliness" (H. Shahivaleyeva) in the author's modification to explore features of the experience of loneliness based on the offered the experience of loneliness model, "Differential loneliness questionnaire" (E. Osin, D. Leont'yev) DQEL-3 (differential questionnaire of the experience of loneliness) for definition of loneliness as a multidimensional phenomenon, "Test questionnaire of personal maturity" (U. Hil'bukh) to determine the level of personal maturity; "Research of volitional self-regulation" (A. Zvyer'kov and E. Eydman) to identify volitional orientation of the researchers.Scientific novelty of the research is that:for the first time:theoretical structural and functional model of the experience of loneliness is proposed; model functions as a holistic, dynamic formation and consists of cognitive, emotional, behavioral and motivational and volitional components;patterns of the organization of the experience of loneliness in persons with different levels of loneliness (high, medium, low) and researchers of all ages (young adult and middle adulthood) are established; main forms of the experience of loneliness (effective, which is expressed in active and passive forms, and ineffective) are defined; psychological peculiarities of the experience of loneliness as indicators of self-actualization are established, the following indicators were - reduced rates of cognitive and motivational and volitional components, increased rates of emotional and behavioral components of the structure of the experience of loneliness.essence of phenomena's determination close in meaning of loneliness is specified (isolation, alienation, solitude); main parameters which allow to compare and separate from one another concept of "isolation", "alienation", "solitude" are selected;definition of "loneliness" and "self-actualization" are clarified; obtained the further development: theoretical understanding of the experience of loneliness as the self-actualization factor and methodological support of their empirical research.Practical significance of the results. Results of the research used during the professional training and the increase of professional students' level of technical as well as of humanitarian direction in teaching courses "General Psychology", "Personality Psychology", "Age psychology".Scope institutions of higher education, psychological services.
