Essay

Object: Kyiv-Pechersk Patericon's Vocabulary. Objective: the bookish words systemic analysis of the Pre-Mongol Russ literary language represented in Kyiv-Pechersk Patericon. Methods: descriptive, comparative-historical, componental approach, quantitative analysis. Scientific novelty: for the first time the lexical-semantic analysis was fully applied to the manuscript's vocabulary; thematic and lexical-semantic classification of the ontlined names was made; textual interaction peculiarities of Old Slavic and East Slavic elements were studied. Practical value: the results of research may be used in historical grammar and Old Slavic lecture courses, in special courses and seminars, also in textbooks writing and lexicography.
