The leading directions and the content of the activity of I. Kyriiak in Canada have been determined in the article. His contribution into the development of Ukrainian national education in Canada has been cleared out; pedagogical ideas of working out native language schooling and the system of national education of Ukrainians in the Diaspora have been characterized. The topicality of pedagogical ideas of the educator under the modern conditions has been found out; the ways of usage of the creative heritage of I. Kyriiak in Ukrainian educational space have been characterized.
