Ukraine's affiliation to the European educational space, the organic integration of the departmental system of education of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the national education system requires the development, introduction of flexible educational programs and information technologies of training in accordance with international requirements.Professional activity of a specialist of any specialty in the system of internal affairs is aimed at a specific object and is resulting in performing certain functions. It is associated with a particular operational system and is implemented by the system of means of this activity.In modern conditions the profession of a specialist of law-enforcement bodies does not exclude the activities that are connected with a forcible arrest of offenders. This requires the proper level of development of morphological and functional indicators of the police officers. Under these conditions, the dominant factor of physical training is to develop the ability of a specialist on the basis of appropriate education to rebuild the system of their training, taking into account the individual level of functional state and regulatory restrictions - that is, the formation of personal characteristics of the future police officer. The means of formation of the personality then become a means, forms and methods of special physical preparation.The thesis presents the results of studies of the experimental program influence optimizing the psychophysical training in physical education. Interesting and relevant are the results from the perspective of the modernization of the law enforcement system. In particular, the cadets of the experimental group (EG) significantly improved performance of physical fitness: after the experiment the results in the women's 1,000 meters running in the EG were higher than in the control group (CG) by 12,1 seconds, in the exercise "Stoop and stretch of arms on the bar" - by 2.96 times, and in the exercise "100 meters running" the representatives of EG exceeded the results of the CG cadets by 21,2%. At the same time indicators of special physical readiness of employees of EG also improved - the average score for the performance of the exercises of physical restraint measures increased significantly (p<0,05). The use of the experimental program provided improved lung capacity indicators (24,1%) and physical health (23,2%) of EG cadets.
