Ivanets A. The Crimean issue in the policy of the Ukrainian People's Republic in the period of Directory (end 1918 - 1920).

The thesis on receiving scientific degree of a Candidate of Historical Sciences, speciality 07.00.01 - The History of Ukraine. - Research Institute of Ukrainian Studies, Kyiv, 2016. For the first time in the dissertation on the basis of the analysis of scientific literature, archival documents and published sources comprehensively is researched the policy of UPR in the period of Directory towards Crimea in the context of the international situation. The approach to the definition of the term "The Crimean issue" as a complex of key problems of Crimea in 1917-1920 is offered. Relationship of UPR with the Crimean Regional Government of S. Krym, P. Wrangel's military-authoritarian regime, the Crimean Tatar national movement is considered. The Evolution of policy of UNR in 1918-1920 to the status of the Crimea within approaches is investigated: its integration in Ukraine - federated relationship with Crimea - the integration of the autonomous Crimea to Ukraine. The reasons for the emergence of the crimean issue and transformation to a key border issue during the formation of Ukrainian national territory are found out.
