Essay

The object of study – Peculiarities of getting of homozygous maize lines of genetic plasma Lancaster with using of matroclinal haploidy. The goal – to ground theoretically and to solve the problems on creating and selection assessment of double haploid lines of maize with genetic plasma Lancaster, adapted to the soil and climatic conditions of northern Steppe of Ukraine. Methods ? haploidy; measurement and weight – estimate of yielding capacity, harvest grain moisture; laboratory – determination of heat-resistance and cold hardiness, seed germination of lines; mathematical and statistical ? evaluation of the reliability of research results, analysis of combining ability indexes and adaptive capacity parameters. Results: double haploid lines Dha6021, Dha6025, Dha6014, Dha6016 with high seed productivity and low harvest grain moisture have been created, which were entered to composition of the hybrids registered in the State Register of Plant Varieties of Ukraine and transferred to the state strain testing of crops. With the participation of author have been created the following hybrids: Verdict, DN Pyvykha, DN Synevyr, DN Zoriana, DN Argo, DN Korund, DN Orlyk, DN Bulat, DN Vesta, which are listed in the State Register of Plant Varieties of Ukraine and hybrids DN Rava, DN Patriot, DN Vita, DN Rostock, DN Olena which are in the state strain testing. Novelty ? for the first time in the Ukraine was theoretically grounded and practically proved the efficiency of the method of accelerated creation of double haploid maize lines of genetic plasma Lancaster with using of matroclinal haploidy. The evaluation of double haploid lines and their testcrosses by morphological and biological, economic-valuable signs and adaptive capacity was carried out. Perspective of haploidy method use in selection programs, in order to reduce the time for obtaining of homozygous lines is proved. Sector – agriculture.
