Object - the post-graduate pedagogical education of teachers; goal - a theoretical basis to develop and experimentally test technology of the development of professional competence of health and safety teachers in the system of post-graduate pedagogical education; methods - analysis, comparison, synthesis, modeling, interview, questionnaire, survey, observation, testing methods for expert assessments, pedagogical experiment, mathematical statistics; novelty - theoretically founded, developed and tested a model of the development of professional competence of health and safety teachers in the system of post-graduate pedagogical education, which is the basis of professional and personal experience of teachers and the physical, social and information components integrated learning content with life safety as teachers and pupils, the technology of the development of professional competence of health and safety teachers in the system of post-graduate pedagogical education which are realized through the following stages: development of teachers’ professional focus towards safety oriented activity, development of cognitive-active sphere of the educational process participants’ safety, development of the aptitude for evaluation-reflexive activity on the grounds of safety; the efficiency of the developed technology realization has been proved; clarified the semantic content of the professional competence of health and safety teachers structural components; were further principles of development of professional competence of health and safety teachers in the system of post-graduate pedagogical education; results - the technology of the development of professional competence of health and safety teachers in the system of post-graduate pedagogical education, including special course «Safety in terms of an educational institution», guidelines for the listeners course «Safety», information and training materials on health and life safety; implemented in the educational process of communal higher education institution «Kharkiv Academy of lifelong learning», municipal educational institution «Cherkassy Regional Institute of Postgraduate Education teaching Cherkasy regional», council Kharkiv National Pedagogical University G.S.Skovoroda, secondary schools education department Kupyansk City Council Education Department, Balakliya district administration; industry - the professional рedagogics.
