Object of study - population of Lutheran colonies in Southern Ukraine. The goal – to find out the main trends of demographic development of Lutheran colonists in South region at the late XVIII - early XX centuries. Methods: analysis, synthesis, induction, comparative, logical and linguistic, descriptive, quantitative, statistical, chronological, genetic, historiographical and source criticism, historical periods, the method of data aggregation, recovery stories of families, component (method bias by sex and age) mortality tables short, building a demographic charts, real and conventional generation, longitudinal and transversal analysis. Reconstructed the dynamics of demographic indicators Lutheran colonists South Ukraine late XVIII - beginning twentieth century. The levels of colonist’s average life expectancy and age-sex structure of Lutheran colonies population were determined. The knowledge about church and secular authority interaction in matters of colonists marriages, administrative impacts on colonists demographic behavior were extended. Fertility and mortality levels of Lutheran settlers in Southern Ukraine region were improved. Demographic data database was created. Part of this database was represented at the annex. Scope - learning process.
