On the basis of published and archival sources Ukrainoznavstvo dimension of V. A. Sukhomlynskyi's pedagogics was analyzed. It was found out that the leading factors that contributed to the formation of the teacher-scientist of Ukrainoznavstvo were: family (ethnic and social environment, the traditions of education in the family, respect to national values, traditions and culture); cultural and educational environment (impact of education received in educational institutions (school in village Vasylivka, Vasylivka parish, Oleksandriia county, Kherson province (now Onufriivka district, Kirovohrad region), Kremenchuk Medical College, Kremenchuk Pedagogical Institute, Poltava Pedagogical Institute, the influence of teachers); scientific and educational activities (personal teaching experience, creative achievements of local and foreign teachers). There were determined four main periods of V. Sukhomlynskyi's formation as a teacher and Ukrainoznavstvo researcher and all that was very closely associated with the history of Ukraine, forming of Ukrainian educational thoughts and Ukrainoznavstvo as a science: 1918-1933 there was V. Sukhomlynskyi identity formation; 1934-1947 - the formation of the individuality of the teacher and the beginning of professional carrier; 1948 - 1960 V. Sukhomlynskyi became a teacher; 1961 - 1970 the talent of a teacher and innovator, researcher, journalist, and writer appeared. The author revealed that educational system developed by V. Sukhomlynskyi helped to form nationally conscious citizens on the basis of scientific analysis of the historical past, cultural and ideological heritage, national traditions, international relations, social and economic processes. It was proved that the main problem of Ukrainoznavstvo is teaching nationally conscious citizens with clear national position, which will constitute the intellectual, emotional and volitional basis for the development of Ukrainian sovereign state and perceives the purpose of their life in serving people. Based on analysis of references, scientific, philosophical, psychological and pedagogical literature the definition of the term "Ukrainoznavstvo space" was suggested as a reflection and building of the system of training and education of students on the basis of Ukrainoznavstvo. Pedagogical heritage of V. Sukhomlynskyi was considered in the context of the concenters of Ukrainian, "Ukraine - ethnos", "Ukraine - nature", "Ukraine - language", "Ukraine - nation, state", "Ukraine - culture", "Ukraine - mentality, fate". The concenter "Ukraine - ethnos" was defined by national character, fate, historical mission of the nation. V. Sukhomlynskyi, while teaching young patriots, connected the idea of motherland with their homes, mothers, and Ukraine. The concenter "Ukraine - nature". While developing the system of training and education V. Sukhomlynskyi believed that man was and always will be a child of nature, and the fact that it unites with nature should be used for integrating to the wealth of culture. The teacher saw nature as the source of life that has a purpose and meaning of human existence, the cradle of children's views, the source of education. The concenter "Ukraine - the language". V. Sukhomlynskyi in his works considered language education as the part of comprehensive development of students and substantiated the idea about meaning of the word in training and education of a human being and a citizen. The teacher developed a coherent program which was provided to accept words not only by ears but also using other senses. The concenter "Ukraine - nation, state". V. Sukhomlynskyi in his book "How to raise a real man" explained the cult of the homeland. The teacher saw the ideal man as a fighter, updater of the world, creator and thinker. The concenter "Ukraine - culture". V. Sukhomlynskyi considered culture as the totality of material and spiritual values, created by mankind throughout its history, considered an important element of spiritual and moral culture of people - understanding of moral values. The concenter "Ukraine - mentality, fate". The main features of Ukrainian mentality are: freedom, individualism, the desire for social equality, democracy, spiritual aristocracy, optimism, philosophical soul, deep religiosity, compassion, peacefulness, sincerity and generosity, diligence. While studying pedagogy of V. Sukhomlynskyi as ethno forming core attention was focused on following terms: the image of the world, ethno-mentality, and universalism. The researcher examined the theoretical heritage and experience of V. Sukhomlynskyi in the context of philosophy of Ukrainoznavstvo / ethnology under the Concept of development of personality in the context of the evolution of the biosphere; the essence of the concept of "dimension" was itemized; paradigms of concepts cordocentrism, anteyizm, sofiynist, universalism; it was proved that educational heritage of V. Sukhomlynskyi helped to develop national language picture of the world, Ukrainian mentality and education in the 21st century; gained further development of scientific justification of formation of the future teacher of Ukrainoznavstvo on the bases of pedagogical heritage of V. Sukhomlynskyi.
