Kachur R. The legal and organizational principles of jury trial in Ukraine

The thesis is a comprehensive study of the theory and practice of jury trial in Ukraine. The priority directions of the improvement of constitutional principles of jury trial are examined on the scientific basis. It is proved the necessity of procedural consolidation of the procedure of removal from case involving jury trial. In accordance with the Constitution of Ukraine it determines legal basis for participation of citizens in the justice system. The significant part of the practical improvement of legal regulation of jury trial functioning in Ukraine is the draft Law of Ukraine "On jurors". In accordance with the Constitution of Ukraine it determines legal basis for participation of citizens in the justice system and the organization of jury trial. The draft set forth the guarantees of independence and financial support of jurors and establishes certain conditions under which a person is precluded from being a juror.
