Medyanyk V. The entrepreneurial, scientific and socio-political activity of M. F. von Ditmar (the end of XIX-th - beginning of XX-th centuries)

Object of study is the person of the entrepreneur, scientist and social and political activist Mikola Fedorovich von Ditmar. The aim of the research is on the basis of identified set of historical sources and historiography achievements to characterize the person of mining engineer M. F. von Ditmar, to describe his activity n the field of business, science and political life and to show his place in local and regional-wide economic and political processes at the end of XIX - the beginning XX centuries. Methods of research: biographical, historical and genetic, historical and typological, historical and systematic, comparative history, problem-chronological. The factors of outlook formation of Mikola von Ditmar are reconstructed; the private and collective forms of business activity of M. F. von Ditmar are determined; the directions of scientific activiry of M. F. von Ditmar are defined and his heritage in the field of geology and accounting science are analyzed; the participation of M. F. von Ditmar during his tenure in different positions in South mining manufacturers' congresses are described; the political activity of M. F. von Ditmar in the State Council of the Russian Empire are characterized. Usage - educational process.
