Essay

The thesis is dedicated to the solving of actual problem which is to increase efficiency of the horizontal settlers work. Method of increasing efficiency of the horizontal settlers work with usage of plates was proved on the base of physical experiments. The design of horizontal settler with secondary flow injection was developed. A new two-dimensional numerical model based on the equations of potential flow, equations of inviscid vorticity flow, equations of viscous flow and mass transfer to calculate efficiency of modified horizontal settlers work form was developed. The results of these studies and the developed recommendations are used and accepted for implementation in the Engineer Technical Center "Technostream".
