The object is the professional training of future teachers of physical and mathematical specialties in the higher education institution. The goal is to scientifically substantiate and experimentally test the pedagogical conditions for the preparation of future teachers of physical and mathematical specialties to develop the mathematical thinking of students in the main school. There are theoretical, empirical, statistical methods. Novelty - for the first time, the pedagogical conditions for the preparation of future teachers of physical and mathematical specialties for the development of mathematical thinking in primary school students have been identified and scientifically substantiated; the model of realization of pedagogical conditions of preparation of the future teachers of physical and mathematical specialties to development of mathematical thinking of students in the main school was developed and scientifically proved.
