Essay

Defined socio-geographic basis for the term “diaspora”, given the author's approach to its understanding. Highlighted conditions that cause migration of Ukrainians and ethnogeographical processes among the Ukrainian diaspora. Found factors affecting the dynamics of Ukrainian diaspora in the world. Detected the regularities in the spread of Ukrainian language in the world by ethnolingual criteria for census programs.
