Artistic fabrics of Western Ukraine of the end of the 20th century - the beginning of the 21мcentury are analyzed in the thesis. It is characterized the program principles and specific features of professional art schools education and their influence on new textile techniques formation. The priority branches of artistic fabrics evolution are determined in the context of regional and all-Ukrainian tendencies and specific features of their functioning in modem art forms are revealed. The artistic peculiarities of interior textile works by artists and national craftsmen are revealed. The use of modern artistic fabrics in clothes modeling is described. It is defined the means of decorative expression of the works by the leading artists and their meaning in modern innovative search. The personalities of textile artists are determined and the works of art of national and professional weaving, fabric painting and other textile techniques unknown to present are introduced to the scientific circulation.
