Voronkina A. Development of composition and technology of semi-solid dental drugs based on metronidasole, chlorhexidine and glucosamine

Dissertation is devoted to the scientific and practical rationale of technology and composition of dental drugs with antimicrobial and antiphlogistic effect in the form of dental films and chewing sweets. Studied range of the registered in Ukraine drugs for dentistry. Established failure of range of combined semi-solid drugs for dentistry (9 drugs are registered, with 2 combinations of ingredients). The absence of drugs both anti-inflammatory and antibacterial action for the treatment of inflammatory periodontal disease proves the necessity and promise of creating dental films with metronidazole, chlorhexidine, glucosamine and chewing sweets with chlorhexidine and glucosamine. The availability of extemporaneous drugs was studied in various regions of Ukraine and insufficient number of compounding pharmacies was found. The IDEF0 model of compounding pharmacy production process was built using Optimised-AS-IS methodology.
