Kapshyk Y. Secondary educational establishments of Poltava province in the second half of the 19th - beginning of the 20th centuries: network development and special features of functioning.

Candidate’s? thesis is dedicated to the history of opening and development of secondary educational establishments of Poltava province in the second half of the 19th beginning of the 20th centuries. The coverage of the topic in historiography was analyzed: basic sources’ groups were revealed and grouped, legal aspects of opening and functioning of secondary education in Poltava region were highlighted. The classification of educational establishments was carried out, organization of educational process was researched, the process of faculty and students’ staffing in educational establishments was clarified. The contribution of famous teachers who worked in secondary educational establishments was highlighted; the students who studied in secondary educational establishments of Poltava province and later became famous scientists and cultural luminaries were defined.
