Object - Modernization of modern education; Purpose - philosophical analysis of the modernization potential of educational management in contemporary socio-cultural contexts; Novelty - the philosophical methodology of the analysis of educational management as an integrative phenomenon of a postindustrial society in the unity of its ontological, epistemological and axiological dimensions based on a combination of philosophical and educational and philosophical and managerial approaches has been substantiated. This allowed to reveal its system-creating, social-projective and managerial potential as a component of educational modernization system of Ukraine; Methods - genesis, structural-functional, comparative analysis; Results - it is substantiated that in the conditions of formation of "knowledge society" the most adequate form of introduction of managerial management in education is cognitive management; It is proved that educational management as a result of its genesis and expansion of social functions has acquired the quality of an integrated social and managerial mechanism for the establishment of post-modern social and educational practices of a human-centric nature; The results of the study can be used in the development of training courses for universities of social philosophy, philosophy and theory of management, social management, philosophy of education; branch - the philosophy of education.
