Essay

The thesis focuses on researching organisational and pedagogical conditions of preparing teachers in Turkey in the context of integration processes. Historical, socio-political and socio-cultural premises of the higher pedagogical school reforms in Turkey have been analyzed. The key stages of this process have been defined and their leading trends characterized. The main organisational and pedagogical conditions of preparing teachers at universities in the Republic have been researched: standardisation, structuring, unification of the state higher institution and its management; modernising the content of forms and methods of preparing teachers; providing wider opportunities for the country's citizens to enter a higher educational institution; on the state level, facilitating mobility for school and university teachers through active participation in international educational projects; involving the media in creating educational information environment; substantial state funding and the government's support for teacher preparation in Turkey. A comparative analysis of teacher preparation in Turkey and Ukraine has been conducted. General and specific features of the modern educational space in Turkey, namely: a transition to the state-community model of managing higher school; a wide-scale introduction of open admission to higher educational institutions; the discipline-based system of education have been characterized. Possible ways of both counties' experience exchange in the context of creating conditions for enhancing the efficiency of national systems of preparing future teachers have been described.
