Essay

The thesis is devoted to the research of effects of the isolated impact of low doses of lead acetate and combined effect of lead acetate with citrates of metals (iron, gold, silver) on morphofunctional condition of the ovaries of pregnant female rats and development of embryos on the 12th, 16th and 20th day of gestation. Studies performed have shown that in the group of experimental animals subjected to isolated impact of lead acetate, the increase of indices of embrional mortality together with reduction of the number of live fetuses occurred, while in groups of animals with combined impact of lead acetate and citrates of metals the increase in the number of live fetuses and decrease of embrional mortality was revealed. Experimentally it has been proved that the isolated injection of lead acetate negatively impacts on morphological-functional condition of rats’ovaries and leads to the changes of organometric indicators of gonads with accelerated and active atresia of follicles, reduction of the corpora lutea sizes, their premature regression, proliferation of ovaries stroma, hemodynamic disturbances. In the groups of animals with combined impact there was revealed compensatory effect of metal citrates on gonadotoxicity of lead acetate, which was accompanied by the increase in the number of primordial follicles on a background of reduction of atretic and increase in the number and relative area of corpora lutea in all investigated stages of gestation.
