Essay

In the Terminal Paleolithic technologies which used hammerstone, the most effective is the Swidrian. The appearance in Swider pressure technique increased efficiency of obtaining standardized blades. It is Polissyan sites traced the earliest stage of transition Swidrian to more advanced technology, which later became the basis for Postswidrian. Least effective was Krasnosilian technology. The population of Smyachka type sites tried to improve the efficiency of the industry through the improvement of the process of obtaining blades. The Smyachka type industry demonstrates the same development trends as the Swidrian culture one. The technologies of Mesolithics Pisochnyi Riv and Kudlaivka cultures represent the degradation of Paleolithic technologies. Yanislavytsia culture belongs to the most developed industries in the Mesolithic - early Neolithic.
