Muzykina L. Porcine enzootic encephalomyelitis (spread, properties of the pathogen, diagnosis)

It was established that 298 isolates of viruses were isolated in the investigated farms of Ukraine, among which 79.2% belonged to the first serotype of porcine teschovirus. As a result of serological monitoring, the presence of virus-neutralizing antibodies to the porcine enzootic encephalomyelitis virus was detected in 71.52 % of sera samples.The study of molecular genetic properties of the 20 isolates of virus by sequencing of VP1 gene region showed that they belong to the genus Teschovirus, species Teschovirus A, genotype PTV-1. The domestic oligonucleotide primers for the conservative part of the genome VP1 of the genotype PTV-1 for the PCR method in real time have been developed and validation of the technique has been carried out.
