Matter: the process of professional training prospective teachers of the Ukrainian language; purpose: to substantiate theoretically, develop and test experimentally the technology of forming the prospective Ukrainian language teachers' linguomethodological competence in conjunction with monitoring its quality; methods: analysis, synthesis, questioning, testing, observation, pedagogical experiment, quantitative and qualitative analysis, methods of mathematical statistics; novelty: the technology of forming the prospective Ukrainian language teachers' linguomethodological competence is verified, the technology contains the following stages: target, informative, technological-procedural, effective; pedagogical conditions for the formation of the prospective Ukrainian language teachers' linguomethodological competence are revealed; the concept of quality of the prospective Ukrainian language teachers' linguomethodological education is grounded; the concept of linguomethodological monitoring is defined; general and specific principles of linguomethodological monitoring are formulated; the methods for controlling the prospective Ukrainian language teachers' linguomethodological competence in the process of its formation are classified; the periodization of the professional training of the Ukrainian language teachers is specified; the concept of the prospective Ukrainian language teachers' linguomethodological competence is clarified; structural components of the the prospective Ukrainian language teachers' linguomethodological competence are: motivational-value, subject (special), psychological-pedagogical, professional-communicative, information-communication, diagnostic; criteria, the relevant indicators and levels; specific methods of forming the the prospective Ukrainian language teachers' linguomethodological competence; the content and methods of forming the linguomethodological competence got further development; forms and methods of monitoring the quality of the prospective Ukrainian language teachers' linguomethodological competence
