Essay

Object: Aviation of the Ukrainian Galician Army in 1918-1920. Purpose: generalization of the process of formation, development, functioning of the Western Ukrainian People's Republic (WUPR) Army aviation in the period 1918-1920. Methods: comparison, generalization, analysis, synthesis, systemic, statistical. Results: for the first time the material and technical basis, which served as the basis for the formation of the aviation Army of the WUPR, is analyzed, staffing, mobilization measures are followed, the size, age of personnel, the responsibilities of individual military personnel are determined, the process of training the staff of the airborne GA on the territory of the WUPR and on the territory of the UPR is studied, for the first time engaged in scientific circulation and analyzed instructional materials developed in the structure of the airborne of the WUPR, the financing, providing by social privileges for the military aviation is traced, the form of aviators is reconstructed, the daily life and mode of life for personnel is characterized, metaphorical emblems revealed among Polish and partly Ukrainian aviation are founded, a number of factual mistakes that spread in historiography are revealed and refuted. Scope of use: for preparation of general and special works on the history of Ukrainian military building, textbooks, courses of lectures on the history of Ukrainian statehood in the modern age; in the educational process of the higher military educational institutions of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine during the study of disciplines on the history of wars and martial arts, for the training of officer personnel during their study of world and Ukrainian military history.
