Essay

The dissertation deals with the peculiarities of ecological education of primary and junior-secondary school pupils in Japan. The analysis of the state of scientific elaboration of the problem has been done, theoretical bases of the development of ecological education in the world, domestic pedagogical theory and practice have been revealed. The content of the regulatory framework of ecological education in Japan has been analyzed. Historical-pedagogical preconditions have been singled out and the stages of development of ecological education in primary and junior-secondary school pupils in Japan in the second half of the XX - beginning of the XXI century have been characterized. The tendencies in the implementation of ecological education for the pupils of primary and junior-secondary school have been singled out. The opportunities to use the positive experience of Japan as for the ecological education in general secondary school of Ukraine have been determined.
