Essay

The dissertation deals with the complex analysis of the late 20th - early 21st century Ukrainian scientists' investigations on the development of foreign reformatory pedagogy in the late 19th - the thirties of the 20th century. The methodological principles, the source base, the state of study of the problem have been cleared out. The achievements, gaps, tendencies of development of researches of the Soviet and modern Ukrainian scientists on the different currents, directions, author's schools of "pedagogy of reforms", in particular experimental and pragmatic pedagogy, Montessori pedagogy, Waldorf school, etc., have been revealed. The reception by the scientists of the complex of issues regarding the impacts of reform pedagogy on the development of the system of education, pedagogical thought, theory and practice of teaching and education in Ukraine in the 20-30-ies of the 20th century has been characterized.
