Kobylin P. Territorial features of the system of the population trading service in Kharkiv region.

The object of research is the system of population trading service as a functional component of the regional socio-geographical system. The purpose of the PhD thesis is determining spatial and temporal features of the system of population trading service of Kharkiv region, identifying development problems and justification ways of improvement. Research methods – philosophical, general scientific, certain scientific and the newest methods of human geography – graphic-analytical method of multivariate classification analysis, component analysis of the vector development, IIF-modeling. Theoretical significance of the received results is deepening scientific foundations of human geography, development of the conceptual terminology apparatus. The novelty of the study: firstly: the technique of human-geographical research of the system of the population trading service was justified using systemic indicators, component analysis, IIF-modeling; spatial and temporal features of the system of the population trading service of Kharkiv region were established by the proposed technique; recommendations on improvement the system of the population trading service in Kharkiv region were developed from the point of human geography. Practical significance of the received results is justification spatial and temporal characteristics of functioning the system of the population trading service in Kharkiv region, which can be used for planning measures of management by this system of the region and conducting similar human-geographical studies of the population trading service of other Ukraine’s regions. Certain points of the PhD thesis have already been used by local authorities.
