The research is devoted to the study of odontoglyphic and odontometric indicators of the occlusal surface of the crowns of molars, as well as structural and functional features of the structure of hard tissues of this group of teeth, depending on the gender aspects. Differences in the structure of various layers of dentin in male and female molars are revealed. It has been established that in men the functional activity of odontoblasts is greater than in women, manifested by the formation of more monopedic processes. For the first time it was established histochemically that around the outgrowths of the odontoblast there is a phospholipid membrane, due to which the formation of intra- and pericanalicular dentin and their biomineralization.
