Essay

The thesis is devoted to the questions of pedagogical support of gifted children at comprehensive schools in Israel. The research studies theoretical basis and practice of pedagogical support of the children having high abilities in Israel. Some conceptions and theories of the Israeli scientists as for pedagogical support of gifted children are observed. The aim, tasks and essence of pedagogical support of the schoolchildren with high capacity and its main components are set and described. They are: legal educational framework, activities of the state central and local authorities and private funds, cooperation of secondary and higher educational institutions, forms and means of gifted students educating, and implementing special pedagogical training. On the basis of analysis of historical and scientific-pedagogical literature the periodization of formation and development of Israeli education of gifted children has been done. The research also observes the methods of giftedness identification at Israeli schools. The main class-lesson, extracurricular and out-of-school forms of work with gifted schoolchildren are determined and described. The most popular educational-nurturing and developing programs for gifted children and juvenility are analyzed. The practice of special teachers' training and the program of teachers' certification are also studied. The meaning of the term "pedagogical support" in Israeli pedagogical science is disclosed. The Israeli experience of practical work with gifted schoolchildren is compared with the Ukrainian. The materials of the scientific research can be helpful for development of Ukrainian pedagogical science, for teachers who work with gifted schoolchildren to improve their practice, for teachers training institutions, and for further investigation of some questions of pedagogical support of gifted children. .
