Essay

The thesis investigates the development of early foreign language education content in the Visegrad countries (Poland, Hungary, Czech and Slovak Republics) within the 90s of the XX - 10s of the XXI century. The socio-cultural, organizational and pedagogical basics of forming of early foreign language education are defined; theoretical basics of its construction under the influence of lingua psychological peculiarities of primary pupils are investigated. The notion of actual concepts of foreign languages learning in primary school of studied countries is revealed. The common and distinctive features of early foreign language education content in these countries within the stated period are substantiated. The main trends of early foreign language education content modernization in the studied countries are d istinguished, that have arisen under the influence of transforming of foreign languages learning objectives in primary school, of its content, forms and methods within the framework of multilingual and multicultural policy. The ways of improving of learning programmers, foreign languages textbooks for primary school in these countries and the integration of European language portfolio into the foreign language teacher's activity in the primary school are characterized. A set of recommendations to improve early foreign language education content in schools of Ukraine is developed.
